6th Grade Math Module 1

This quarter in math we have started our first module in Eureka Math (previously known as Engage NY) on ratios.  Our second module will cover dividing fractions by fractions, multi-digit decimal operations.  Problem solving and justifying an answer will be ongoing throughout the year. 

We are well into Module 1 on Ratios.  We are using multiple models to represent ratios, using equivalent ratios to solve real world problems, finding the unit rate, and using percents. Students are using tables, models, and double number lines as they apply the concepts to real world problems.
